Overview

The fastest way to lose a no-show customer is a sock that slips off in the shoe

A no-show only succeeds if it disappears and stays put. The failure mode every footwear and basics buyer knows is the sock that creeps down mid-stride, bunches under the arch, and ends up balled at the toe by lunchtime. That is the return that kills repeat orders. So the spec that matters for a no-show is not the print on a welt no one ever sees; it is heel retention and a cuff line cut to vanish under the exact shoe your line is sold beside. As a private-label and OEM manufacturer, Sihman Inc. builds the no-show around that one job: invisible, and still on the foot at the end of the day.

Cut the cuff to the shoe, not to one height

“No-show” is a family of heights, not a single cut, and the right one depends on the footwear it ships beside. We knit to whichever line your range needs and confirm it on your sample:

  • Ultra-low liner: sits below the topline of ballet flats, loafers, and boat shoes, with the front edge tucked under the vamp.
  • Standard no-show: clears low-top sneakers and slip-ons, the everyday hidden height for casual and basics multipacks.
  • Sport no-show: a little higher at the back to clear a padded sneaker collar without breaking the ankle line.

Heel retention is tuned separately from height. A silicone heel gripper is the most reliable stay-put feature, laid in as a tab, a band, or a field of dots inside the heel; a deeper shaped heel pocket with a snug elastane cuff is the no-silicone route. Either way it is a stay-put detail, not the sole traction of an anti-slip grip sock.

A hidden line built to your brand

No-show socks sell in multipacks and on the wall beside footwear, so per-pair cost, fit consistency, and a cuff that truly hides decide the range. We produce your heights in combed cotton, moisture-wicking, or premium bamboo and Modal blends, with optional heel grips, knit-in branding, and your retail packaging, all to a locked spec at our facility in Turkiye and shipped at a minimum tariff into the US and EU. The fit and the cuff line hold from the first 1,200 pairs through repeat runs of 5,000 and beyond.

Invisible on the foot, identical across the run

The hard part of a no-show is not knitting one that hides. It is knitting the ten-thousandth pair to the same cuff line and the same heel hold as the first. That repeatability is the part we own for you, so the sock your customer slips on a year from now still disappears the way the sample did.

Key features

Built to your spec

01

Invisible low-cut line

The cuff is knit to sit below the shoe line so the sock stays hidden with loafers, boat shoes, low-tops, and sneakers. Staying invisible is the whole point of the cut.

02

Optional silicone heel grip

A silicone heel gripper inside the heel is the most common way to stop a no-show from sliding down into the shoe. It is an optional stay-put feature you can add or leave off, not a sole traction grip.

03

Shaped heel pocket

A shaped heel pocket and a precise low cuff keep the sock locked to the foot through everyday movement, so it stays both hidden and secure.

04

Thin, breathable knit

Low-profile constructions in breathable yarns keep the sock comfortable and unnoticed inside a close-fitting shoe.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do no-show socks have to have a grip?
No. A silicone heel grip is the most popular way to keep a no-show from slipping down, but it is optional. We also produce no-show socks with a shaped heel pocket and a snug low cuff and no silicone at all. You choose, and we build to your spec.
Is a no-show the same as a grip sock?
No. A no-show is defined by its hidden low cut. A grip or anti-slip sock is defined by silicone traction on the sole for safety. They are different products, and we make both. A no-show can optionally carry a small heel grip, which is a stay-put feature, not sole traction.
How do you keep a no-show hidden?
We knit the cuff to sit below the shoe line for loafers, low-tops, and sneakers, and shape the heel so the sock holds its position. We confirm the exact height on your sample.
