A quarter sock has one job: clear the collar and stay there

The quarter cut exists to shield the back of the heel from the shoe collar. To do that it has to sit a few inches above the ankle bone, high enough to clear the collar but not so high that it drifts into crew territory, and it has to hold that height while the foot is moving. That is a narrow band to hit, and it is where most quarter socks fail: knit the leg a little short or set the cuff a little loose and the sock works its way down into the shoe mid-run, the collar grinds against a bare heel, and the cut loses its only reason to exist. As a private-label and OEM manufacturer, Sihman Inc. locks that height and the cuff tension on your approved sample, then reproduces it pair for pair, so “quarter” means the same measurement across every size and every reorder.

The quarter height band, locked to your sample

  • Low-quarter: a touch above the ankle bone for low court shoes and trainers, higher than an ankle sock without rising to a full quarter
  • True quarter: roughly 10 to 13 cm up the leg, the standard sport height that clears the collar on most running and court shoes
  • Cuff tension: a ribbed welt set to hold the height through high-output activity without digging in or sliding down

We confirm the exact measurement on your sample before bulk, so the height stays put between sizes and between repeat runs.

Cushioned for sport, branded throughout

Quarter is a sport-led height, so the build counts as much as the cut. We map impact padding under the heel and forefoot, open mesh venting over the instep, and a knit-in arch band for hold, then knit your logo, stripes, and brand colors straight into the sock as durable color rather than print. Moisture-wicking polyester and nylon suit performance lines, while combed cotton covers everyday and multipack ranges. The make holds steady from a first 1,200-pair run through the 5,000-pair-plus volumes a performance multipack depends on.

Because every pair is knit in Turkiye, your finished quarter socks clear customs into the US and EU at a minimum tariff, so the duty line that thins margin on Asian-made sport socks stays off your cost sheet. You supply the artwork and the performance brief; we own the height, the cushioning map, and the batch-to-batch quality control, from the first sample through every in-season reorder.
